Uber and Lyft will be ending their grocery delivery services with Walmart, putting Walmart at a disadvantage with the increasing competition of the last-mile delivery of packages. Walmart, a company located in suburban and rural areas, will be turning to startup delivery companies such as Deliv, Postmates, and DoorDash to deliver groceries and other goods. Their sole responsibility will be delivering goods, not people, though many are concerned about the success of these businesses because of the expenses of delivering to low density areas. Consumers will just have to wait and see how this transition will turn out.
