USPS Announces Holiday Shipping Deadlines, Price Increase

As reported by Promo Marketing Magazine:

The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) today announced the deadlines for shippers to ensure that their products and packages reach their destinations within the U.S. by December 25.

According to Fox 6, the deadlines are as follows:

  • USPS Retail Ground: Dec. 15
  • USPS First Class Mail: Dec. 20
  • USPS Priority Mail: Dec. 21
  • USPS Priority Mail Express: Dec. 23

Also, according to KWQC, the USPS plans to raise stamp prices in 2017. If the plan is approved, the price of First-Class Mail Forever stamps will increase by 2 cents to 49 cents. This was the original price before the USPS had to reduce prices as part of a surcharge removal.

The USPS also will adjust pricing for Standard Mail, Periodicals, Package Services and Extra Services, with the adjustments taking effect on Jan. 22, 2017. You can view the full list of price adjustments at
