Preparing the Next Generation of Supply Chain Professionals

We are pleased to announce that as of May, LJM Group has closed applications for the inaugural year of its scholarship for supply chain, logistics and transportation students. Funded by LJM, the Movers & Shakers Scholarship is a $2,500 scholarship offered to qualified students and researchers who are interested in finding novel ways to reduce supply chain costs without compromising customer service.

Erica McBride

“Hi, I’m Erica McBride-Rapp. My passion for Supply Chain began sophomore year at Ball State University after attending an introductory meeting for a new major within the business college – Logistics & Supply Chain Management. After learning about the demand and career roles, I decided to stay an extra year to double major; I will never regret my decision. I’m currently completing my rotation with a $2 billion door security company that sells products in more than 130 countries. I look forward to next steps in my career and encouraging other young professionals to follow their passion.”

2nd Place – $1,000
Chris Cashen

“Hi my name is Chris Cashen and I am a Supply Chain Management student from Michigan State University. I enjoy hiking, mountain biking, listening to classic rock music, and watching sports of all kinds. This past summer, I experienced a great internship at Cisco in San Jose, California and am looking forward to a great Senior year to wrap up my college career. Go Green!”

Emma Chizek

“My name is Emma Chizek, I am a senior at Iowa State University studying supply chain management and international business. As an engaged learner, I appreciate the continuous advances in supply chain solutions and know that my curiosity will allow me to grow in the field after graduation. Understanding that supply chain is relevant to every single consumer in modern society, I look forward to pursuing a meaningful career where I can help benefit consumers through my ability to coordinate the production or transportation of goods.”

Applications for the 2020 Movers & Shakers Scholarship is open to qualified students pursuing academic paths in transportation, logistics, or supply chain management.
