MELVILLE, NY- (March 24, 2014) – LJM Group, a leading UPS and FedEx Invoice Auditing, Analytics and Contract Negotiating firm, announced today the executive appointment of Thomas Andersen as Partner / Vice President of Supply Chain Services. Mr. Andersen brings over 15 years of logistics and revenue management experience to LJM Consultants, in addition to having spent the past decade focusing exclusively on negotiating contracts with UPS, FedEx, DHL, USPS, and regional carriers and consolidators.

Prior to joining LJM Consultants, Mr. Andersen was Vice President of Revenue Management and Head of Parcel Negotiations at AFS Logistics, where he was responsible for overseeing pricing strategies and tactics for a client base with an annual transportation spend that exceeded $10 billion. He also managed the parcel contract negotiations team, which experienced more than 25% revenue growth year over year during his tenure.

In a previous position, Mr. Andersen served on the executive committee as Vice President of Logistics & Supply Chain Services for Logica. He was responsible for managing all contract negotiation initiatives, which accounted for nearly 70% of the company’s revenue.
Mr. Andersen began his career in the transportation industry with DHL Express, where he served as Senior Pricing Manager. He managed a team of pricing analysts and contributed extensively to the development of internal activity-based cost models. He also served as lead negotiator for DHL’s most significant and complex customers.
Mr. Andersen continues to stand as a thought-leader in the supply-chain industry, contributing to magazines such as the Journal of Commerce, Purchasing Magazine, Parcel Magazine, and several additional publications. He is a frequent speaker at conferences that include Parcel Forum, the NCOF, and others.
Mr. Andersen attended University of Florida and Florida Atlantic University, where he received his Bachelor of Science and an MBA in International Business.
