FedEx pays $21.5M to settle overcharge complaints

According to a report by the Tampa Bay Business Journal, FedEx has agreed to pay Bank of America $21.5 million to settle a lawsuit claiming unlawful delivery charges in Tampa and other locations. BoA argued against FedEx’s practice of charging a higher rate for deliveries to businesses and governments than for residential services.
The settlement covers a class of 200,000 customers and is pending court approval. FedEx also agreed to end the practices in question.
