Roger Jones comes to LJM Group with over 30 years of industry experience, including a 25-year versatile and integrative reign at UPS. During his time there, he held leadership positions in Sales Ops, Sales Management, Business Strategy and Planning, Sales Compensation, Sales Training, Pricing, and Marketing.
Mr. Jones leveraged this valuable experience at UPS carrying it over to the private sector as the Managing Director of Business Development for Cerasis, a managed transportation 3PL. As Managing Director of Business Development, he oversaw New Logo Acquisition, Upsell/Cross Sell of existing clientele, Lead Gen Development, Direct Sales and Agent Teams, Solution and Technology Development, and the Hiring and Training of new associates. The Cerasis solution model was multi-modal, technology driven, and customer centric. Mr. Jones also served as a member of the Advisory Committee dedicated to operational, systemic and solution-based improvements. The Advisory Committee was the visionary arm of the organization setting the Mission, Strategy, Values, and Structure in motion.
An acquisition of Cerasis by GlobalTranz brought additional opportunity as the organizations merged. Mr. Jones was promoted to Vice President of Enterprise Sales where he led a team of Enterprise Sales Executives in Deliverable Solutions, New Logo Acquisition and Upsell/Cross Sell efforts with a strong focus on Fortune 5000 businesses. He also worked diligently to build out the Managed Trans customer base and expand the sales team into the highly pursued Middle Market clientele base. Mr. Jones worked cross functionally with the marketing team to improve market messaging and increase the lead gen success rates.
Now, as the Multi-Modal Advisor for LJM Group, Mr. Jones delivers his comprehensive background and industry solutioning to LJM clients with the competence to maximize the value equation across their entire Supply Chain. His solutioning ability includes all modes of transportation (LTL, TL, International, Expedited, Intermodal, Final Mile) from rate analytics to technology applications, and is the perfect complement to the core business that LJM provides.
