2020 FEDEX RATE INCREASES: SURCHARGES
When budgeting for the new year, businesses will need to consider FedEx shipping rate increases based on zip codes. Effective January 6, 2020, the new surcharge will apply to FedEx Express and FedEx Ground by an average increase of 4.9%. In addition, FedEx Freight shipping rates will increase by an average of 5.9%.
With these latest changes, some exceeding 20%, more and more packages will be subject to additional handling charges, so it’s important to understand how these changes will affect your budgets and your customers.
